Beautiful BC.

My home away from home is Vancouver, Canada. My siblings, niece and nephews live in this beautiful city. I am so grateful to be able to spend my summers here. Vancouver is the jewel of the northwest. Used to be when not many people had discovered this amazing city, but now it's a busy metropolis. I still enjoy coming here, the summers are cool and the scenery is so easy on the eyes. I drove from Oklahoma to Vancouver, with a stopover in Portland for a visit with my son and daughter in law. Time spent with family is so important. The reconnection is vital in keeping relationships fluid. This visit to Vancouver has been filled with a ton of work for me. I have helped my brother and sister in law with de-cluttering their living space. I was a guest on RJ 1200, my sister's radio station, the subject matter was... you guessed it --Feng Shui! I decided that the radio station needed some paintings with the colour red in them, so I painted four paintings for her during the last few days.

Your recycle tip.

I usually wash and reuse the plastic bags I store my veggies in. I also wash the aluminum foil and reuse it. This recycle tip has more to do with reusing. Reusing is an important component of recycling. By reusing the items you already have, you will buy less, you will spend less money and less stuff will go into the landfill. A win-win situation all around.

Your Feng Shui tip.

During this visit with family, I realized how important it is to reiterate the basic concepts of Feng Shui. Even though my family hears from me on a regular basis how important it is to have a clutter free environment, they have had a few slip ups. Maybe because they hear me all the time, they tune me out! I myself go through periods of time when my desk, or closet end up being cluttered. I have to remind myself cluttered atmosphere means cluttered thinking. In order to have the optimum amount of energy available to you, clutter needs to be at a minimum. I know I sound like a broken record, some things are better heard when repeated. So, here we go again-- keep clutter to a minimum and watch new opportunities come flying your way!

Well, I should be back in Oklahoma soon. I will be driving back through Zion National Park and will also visit The Grand Canyon. I think getting to see the Colorado river again weaving her way through the canyon will allow my spirit to soar. No matter how many times I see the Grand Canyon I am awe struck. It's like seeing the Taj Mahal in India, truly incredible.
I hope you are all enjoying the hot days of July in Oklahoma!
