Water, water everywhere, nor any drop to drink!

In high school, I memorized the poem "Tha Ancient Mariner" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge ever since then I have been obsessed with saving water! This is very pertinent right now since Oklahoma has been in a drought for the past several months. Here are some easy ways to save our most precious resource! While I wait for the water to heat up in my shower, I gather the cold water in a bucket and use it to flush the toilet. I have always turned the tap off while brushing my teeth. Place a dishpan in your sink while washing the dishes, this water can be used to soak other food encrusted plates, or it can be used in your flower garden. Attach a wide hose to your downspout on the house, this way you can gather the water in a barrel and use for your shrubs. Plant shrubs indigenous to Oklahoma, they know how to survive in our climate!

Your recycle tip!

Water conservation could be our tip for this month, but why not have more than one tip that will ease the burden we place on our ecology? Aluminum was discovered in the 1820s, it is the most abundant metal on earth. Over 50 percent of the aluminum cans produced are recycled. A used aluminum can is recycled and back on the grocery shelf as a new can, in as little as 60 days. ThatŐs closed loop recycling at its finest! So, recycle every soda can!

Here is your Feng Shui tip!

Tax time is here, Uncle Sam wants his share! So, how can we keep our share of money healthy and growing? First, buy only things you absolutely love! Secondly, keep your kitchen and stove clean and clutter free! Lastly, keep your toilet lids down at all times to stop the "drain" of your energy as well as money!

I have been very busy with consultations, and I really appreciate my clients and students recommending me to their family and friends. Thank you! It's always wonderful when one can share life's journey with like minded people. Please stay in touch and let me know what is new in your life?

Here's wishing for rain clouds!
